Are you as excited as me that the annual event of light, music, and ideas, Vivid Sydney, is back to celebrate its 10th year?! What’s even more exciting is that RedBalloon has teamed up with Vivid Sydney to pull together the best Vivid Sydney deals — just for you.
From May 26 – June 16 2018, the City of Sydney will be lit up across Luna Park, Barangaroo, the Royal Botanic Gardens, the MCA, Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge… not to mention other popular precincts including Taronga Zoo, Darling Harbour, Chatswood, Barangaroo and Kings Cross!
What I’m really excited to see this year is May Gibbs’ iconic characters Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, and their companions, who will be brought to life on the façade of Customs House. Vivid Sydney has said that the “whimsical piece will be narrated by renowned Australian film and television actress Noni Hazlehurst AM”. May Gibbs’ themed products will be available for sale during the light festival and proceeds will be going to Northcott and Cerebral Palsy Alliance, which I am thrilled about.
