Insights into the employee engagement statistics

To me employee engagement sounds easy – just have the right people doing the right thing well. Yet it is not so straight forward. Well, Gallup spends much more time an effort proving this. Take the stats from The Gallup Organisation UK.
People who are engaged with the company they work for will:

  • 67% would advocate the company as a great place to work (vs 3% for disengaged)
  • 78% would recommend the product (vs 13% for disengaged people)
  • 4% intend to leave the company in the next 12 months (vs 48% for disengaged)

I believe if leaders look after employees then they can look after customer engagement.

Go beyond just saying "Poor Cashflow" or "Unreliable Team".

Instead, give Naomi details & specifics on how this is currently your #1 Biggest Business Challenge.

I.e. "Every month I'm struggling to pay my bills on time because there just isn't consistent cash flow coming into the business. I've tried sticking to budgets in the past & pay myself less to keep some extra funds aside for emergencies, but still every month there seems to be another financial fire to be put out. I don't know what to do about it, so I'm just grinding it out."
