WHAT WE ARE LEARNING

Employee Experience

Naomi Simson

Employee Experience has much to do with business success.

Employee Experience is a journey, which starts with culture

Employee experience is part of workplace culture. Imagine being in the shoes of a new employee, or how does it feel to be a long term employee. It is really important to understand the experience from every aspect of the employee experience. I have found that in creating an employee framework. I have a plan to create an employee experience.

Employee engagement is what happens when people choose to believe in the business vision. And participate by doing his or her best work at work. Ultimately I know I have a great work place when people thrive. Recognition is an important part of how people feel about workplace culture. Simply; do people know what they are there to do, are they noticed and do they go home feeling like a winner?

Experiences at work, and fun at work which is inclusive creates a spirit of team work and a fulfilling employee experience. Here I write about my workplace culture experience.

Employee Feedback

Employee Feedback

Employee Feedback can be confronting What I didn’t know…. One of the greatest challenges faced by us as individuals, team players, employees or leaders is that it is very difficult for us to get perspective. That is 'we don’t know what we don’t know’ and we don’t even...

Kids’ gifts that really score!

Kids’ gifts that really score!

I was recently asked back to Studio 10 and as part of the many and varied topics we covered was the “what do you do when told what to give as a gift" question. I know personally I struggle when my friends are getting married, and they say “we just want cash to go to...

How much do you owe your mother?

How much do you owe your mother?

I’m very open about the fact that I’m a woman of many labels – entrepreneur, speaker, director, author, blogger and innovator – but to my children, I am simply mum. And of all the roles I’ve ever had, being a mother is the most challenging and yet the most rewarding....

All she wants is your time.

All she wants is your time.

With Mother's Day rapidly approaching, how could we miss the resounding message in "the toughest job in the world." More than anything, I know that what I want from my two young adults is to hear from them regularly (more than once a day works for me!) and to spend...

All Expenses Paid and No Surprises

All Expenses Paid and No Surprises

Some weeks ago I was invited to participate in a BRW round table with Paul Bakker, Amanda Gome, and Grant Johnstone on managing costs in business. My initial reaction was "What would I know about that - I believe that  you need to spend money to make money"... then I...
