THIS COLLECTION IS ALL ABOUT
LESSON
Life Lessons are hard learned Here is a selection of some of mine
Life is full of Lessons; just some are more expensive than others.
As an entrepreneur, business owner and parent I seem to go from one life lesson to another. Every day life lessons present themselves. And some are really very powerful and I’d love others to learn from them.
Part of the business journey is about who you are as a person. I also consider that my ‘whole self’ comes to work. For me, I need to make sure that my whole life is connected.
I thought it was important to include many posts about these life lessons. As an entrepreneur, business owner, or a corporate leader you will have many competing priorities. In these pages you may well find some answers. Perhaps how I did it, or what I have learned from others will give you inspiration.
Have fun and explore these many posts. You may want to have a pen and paper by your side to jot down the life lessons that inspire you. You will definitely want to subscribe to my Monday Motivator Newsletter so that you can get a weekly dose of motivation.

Never let the facts get in the way of a good beat up.
I found myself on the front page of a daily newspaper this week – and the article was almost (apart from my photo) complete fiction. Even the spelling of RedBalloon’s name was incorrect. I thought to myself – ‘how can this happen?’ The reality is that if an editor...
The ‘Fear of Missing Out’ epidemic

Diversity: Two Ways to Start a Conversation in Every School
Life is not that complex... We make it far harder than it needs to be. There is a simple notion that every person needs a friend. If someone truly "gets" us, knows us, believes in us – then we are a long way on our journey to happiness. That is very hard if you are...
Good listeners get what they deserve
"Good listeners get what they deserve--better speakers." Seth Godin My mother always said... "your ears and mouth were built proportionally to how much you should listen or talk". We should listen at least twice as much as we speak - one mouth - two ears. I’m always...
Two lessons on not ‘fitting in’
I’m always open to constructive criticism. I have had many people take it upon themselves to ‘fix me’. I have been accused of being loud, bossy, self centered, egotistical as well as many other things. The people who say these things either to me or others are most...
