TV Week Logies 2017
Last night at the Logies I watched on as Kerri-Anne Kennerley was inducted into the TV Week Logies Hall of Fame. In her address she spoke to her success at longevity in the media business, which I believe actually spans all industries. She quoted Charles Darwin who said:
It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.
That quote reminded me of our theme right now – rhythm. Although I believe it’s important to get into a rhythm to enhance productivity, especially for those in business, I also think that allowing flexibility into your routines is your key to thrive and survive. Adaptability is imperative in business because the one thing we do know is that nothing stays the same.
Last week
Following the Easter break I headed into RedBalloon spending the week diving deep into the business I created more than 16 years ago! I launched the company back in 2001 and it felt great to be back in the thick of it with the team at RedBallon HQ assisting with the planning process as it begins to look at FY18 and beyond.
I finished up the week in Melbourne attending the TV Week Logies with my Shark Tank colleagues. What a night! The energy and atmosphere was fantastic and it was really interesting to being able to observe the TV industry’s night of nights. Thanks to the Carla Zampatti team for my amazing cape and dress, and to Louise M shoes for completing my outfit.
Coming up
While I’m in Melbourne I’m spending Monday in at Studio 10 doing a segment with Angela Bishop as well as a bunch of business meetings. I truly believe we must make the most out of each day we’re given – it’s very easy to forget how much time we can waste simply scrolling our screens… a simple morning check in with yourself can assist! #rhythm
After ANZAC Day I’ll be back in Sydney for more meetings with RedBalloon and Redii focussing on all things business success.
