Growing up I had wanted to be an artist. My mother encouraged me to have a business career, and I am forever grateful that she did. I thrive on building businesses, working with teams and solving problems. 

I had a corporate career in marketing with Apple, IBM, Ansett and KPMG before founding RedBalloon, an online marketplace for experiences, in 2001. RedBalloon now sits within Big Red Group which I co-founded in 2017. Known as an entrepreneur and business leader, and media commentator for business owners. I’m a regular panellist on ABC The Drum and a best-selling author, podcaster and speaker and is passionate about helping small businesses succeed. And was the ‘Red Shark’ on Shark Tank Australia

I’m on a number of boards including Australian Payments Plus,  University of Melbourne Economics and Business Faculty and Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation.

With more than 2.8 million LinkedIn followers, I believe my gift is my ability to share insights, experience and observations about business, innovation and success. This purpose flows to all the people I meet and the communities I come in contact with. On Shark Tank Australia I am an investor and supporter of the startup community. I am also the author of two best selling books, ‘Live What You Love’, and ‘Ready to Soar’.

I am a Governor of the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, and a director of the University of Melbourne Faculty of Business and Economics, and on the Advisory Board of UTS
