Inspiration

I am fascinated by drone photos. I don’t have a drone – but when I see a beautiful image on Instagram I save it. I love the idea of looking down on the world. This was so much fun to paint.. and I built it over many weekends. Laying it flat down on the floor of my studio – using big brush strokes in oils (which I don’t use so much now)… I wanted to see if I could get the colours to feel like water – translucent. I painted a similar view at the same time. They could be a pair but because they are so large. One might be enough to appreciate the new view of the world we can have from the sky.
