Things to do in Adelaide

Adelaide: More than a city of churches

Things to do in Adelaide… well there are just so many. Known as the ‘City of Churches’, although lovely, Adelaide is a about so much more.

For me, Adelaide has always tended to be about food, wine and special places to stay. I love the diversity and range of what you can do – whether it’s a market walk or visiting the many and varied wineries. Helicopters trips, V8 racing, massages or a wonderful behind-the-scenes zoo experience – there are so many great things to do and plenty more experiences on my wishlist.

I’m usually in Adelaide for business, but I always make a point of getting out and experiencing the city – here are some of my favourites.

Metro Beaches Scenic Flight - 45 Minutes

A truly incredible way to see a city is from above, where you can really appreciate the lay of the land.

Sunset Kangaroo Quad Bike Safari

A great way to see an extraordinary island, and the teenagers love it!

Chocolatiers Walking Tour

Adelaide is the home of Haigh’s but there are plenty more chocolatiers to be discovered.

Wine Blending Masterclass with Tasting and Antipasto for 6

A ‘dark art’ that takes years to perfect, learn wine blending from the masters.

Chamber Music Concert

There’s nothing more calming in the world than listening to chamber music; a concert of elegance, grace and style.

Romantic Gondola Cruise

A fun experience to see the sights while enjoying a special moment with your family or friends.

Taste Your Birth Year Winery Tour

This one is a definite favourite. Over 50-year-old wine, yes please!

Lion Encounter at Monarto Zoo

Lions are such majestic creatures. It was interesting to learn about what is being done to protect this beautiful animal.

Adelaide Central Market Breakfast Tour

This market is famous for its selection of ingredients and culinary delights. A must visit while in Adelaide.

60 Minute Virtual Reality Experience

This experience really takes you on an incredible journey. I was amazed at how you interact with the others in the room.
