When you’re in business, you never stop learning

Being in business means that you’re constantly learning. From small beginnings, to now an employer of many, the one constant throughout my life has been my curiosity and my interest to learn more. I have lived and worked my whole life in and around business owners; even when I was in marketing for Ansett and Apple. Now, almost two decades of entrepreneurship later, I am really happy to share my experiences with others.

Managing Your Small Business

I have collaborated with LinkedIn Learning and Lynda.com to create an online course titled ‘Managing Your Small Business’. I was thrilled to be asked to contribute to the education platform and I’m the first Australian author on Lynda.com!
Educating others through sharing my experience is part of my purpose.  You can easily access the course on LinkedIn Learning or on Lynda.com if you have a subscription — if not, the Lynda link includes a free 30-day trial for you.
Getting a small business off the ground is a feat in itself. But once you’ve made your business idea a reality, you’re faced with an array of new challenges which—if managed improperly—can dominate your time and prevent you from achieving greater success.

What will I learn?

In this course, you’ll learn strategies and techniques for running a small to medium business with confidence. Join me as I share key lessons that can help you define your purpose and values, establish a framework for success, and promote your business in a smart, cost-effective manner.
The topics covered include:

  • Finding your purpose
  • Keeping the passion alive
  • Setting the framework for success
  • Ensuring that your people are aligned to your goals
  • Setting your priorities
  • Promoting your business effectively

Grow & Scale Your Business by Naomi Simson

Tell Naomi a little bit about your business by completing the questions below. (It will take less than 60 seconds)

Answering your #1 Biggest Business Challenge question tip:

Go beyond just saying "Poor Cashflow" or "Unreliable Team".

Instead, give Naomi details & specifics on how this is currently your #1 Biggest Business Challenge.

I.e. "Every month I'm struggling to pay my bills on time because there just isn't consistent cash flow coming into the business. I've tried sticking to budgets in the past & pay myself less to keep some extra funds aside for emergencies, but still every month there seems to be another financial fire to be put out. I don't know what to do about it, so I'm just grinding it out."
