It’s now many years since I have been the CEO of RedBalloon. Nick Baker took the reins in early March and is steering the business on it’s growth trajectory – delivering ‘Good Times’ to hundreds of thousands of people each year. But even with new leadership our values remain the same. Consistently we live by them. We do what we say we are going to do, we are generous, a team of leaders, have a sense of humour and fun – whilst being a big dog with a little dog attitude.
How delighted I am to support Nick as he supports the community by participating in the CEO Sleepout. Now I could quip here about how I’m glad he is CEO because he gets to take the good with the ‘uncomfortable’, but the reality is that it is a privilege to contribute to others.
Thanks for taking this on Nick and for leading the culture of ‘experiences’, by participating in the 2015 Vinnies CEO Sleepout on 18 June, 2015. Needless to say I would love it if you would spare a dollar or two to sponsor him.
The Sleepout offers just a small glimpse into life on the streets; a reality every single night of the year for the more than 100,000 Australians who are currently homeless. And we want to help make a difference – but we need your help.
Over the past ten years this initiative has raised $24 million to support Vinnies’ homeless services. With these funds, they provide immediate and emergency assistance as well as pathways to a brighter future for those living on the streets.
This year their aim is to raise $10 million, with Nick and RedBalloon pledging to contribute $10,000. So here I am, asking for your help. If you would like to contribute to this wonderful cause and help us create a brighter tomorrow for Aussies doing it tough, please give what you can.
